I wrote this song yesterday and I finally managed to get it recorded today after plenty of DAW crashes and mistakes. If you don't like the intro, skip to 1:22. This is probably my heaviest (and sludgiest) song as of right now because I haven't tuned down any lower than drop D. It took me forever to get a decent tone out of my amp and then I had to record this novel of a song. I had to edit the shit out of this thing and apply several effects. The worst part is that this demo isn't even finished. Around 9:30, you can hear it change to a fake double tracked guitar part because I wasn't able to record any more due to running low on hard drive space. Also, the part where I used a cleanish guitar tone in the middle (6:08 - 7:14) with the delay sounds to me like what a grandfather clock would sound like on LSD. I used my Fender FSR Standard HSS Stratocaster on the bridge pickup for all of the tracks except for the almost inaudible lead track near the beginning in which I used the ! neck pickup with the tone on zero. The amp I used was the Fender Mustang I amp, and for distorted tones, I used a combination of an Electro-Harmonix Little Big Muff with a Joyo Ultimate Drive. Below are the titles of the individual sections of the song if it were split into 4 sections: I. Escape From Trap House #36 (0:00 - 4:20) II. 420 Watt Searchlight (4:20 - 6:08) III. Infernal Tolling of The Parlor Grandfather Clock on LSD (6:08 - 7:26) IV. Caught Smoking In The Parlor (Escape Part 2) (7:26 - 13:08 ...
