Here we are in almost any neighborhood in America, with homes almost directly underneath high voltage power lines! In this video, the "magnetic field" reading was about 4.5 to 4.75 milligauss. I have measured this same power line when it was closer to 30 milligauss when people were home at night using more electricity. There are debates about what safe levels of EMF are. However, if we trust corporate and government data to protect us, this would be a mistake. Conservative estimates are that even 1 milligauss magnetic fields are approaching precautionary levels.
